I’m a Charlotte native, raised just north of the city on Lake Norman. My path to this work started at Auburn University, where I studied Human Development and Family Sciences and completed my practicum and internship at their on-campus Marriage and Family Therapy clinic. Seeing the impact therapy could have on individuals and couples made my direction clear — and brought me back home to continue that work.
At Pfeiffer University, I found my love for Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and for helping clients from an attachment-based, experiential model. I walk alongside my clients in exploring their internal, emotional world to understand how their family dynamics, previous traumatic experiences, and relationships have impacted them on the deepest level. I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental space for my clients to be vulnerable. I believe providing a space for my clients to access their vulnerability will allow them to live authentically and translate that vulnerability to other relationships in their lives.
I work with individuals and couples who are navigating communication issues, painful relational cycles, life transitions, pre-marital preparation, anxiety, and depression. Utilizing Emotionally Focused Therapy, I view these challenges not as isolated symptoms, but as expressions of a deeper longing for safety, secure connection, and understanding. Whether you are navigating external relationship distress or feeling disconnected within yourself, we will work together to de-escalate these painful, repetitive cycles. By uncovering the underlying fears and unmet attachment needs driving these patterns, we can transform moments of conflict and anxiety into opportunities for profound healing, internal resilience, and more secure, meaningful connections in your life.
When I am not at the office, I spend time with friends and family trying new restaurants, running Charlotte’s various trails, and going to local events. I am a marathon runner and enjoy finding races in new cities to explore. My boyfriend and I love to travel, but also love relaxing weekends at home, cooking, golfing, or watching our favorite shows together.
