Book Club

Learn the relationship skills no one taught you.

Whether you’re dating, engaged, married, or simply want healthier relationships in your life, our Relationship Book Club offers a unique opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with others who are asking the same questions you are.

Unlike a traditional book club, each discussion is facilitated by a licensed therapist who helps bring the concepts to life through real-world examples, expert insights, and practical applications. Think of it as part book club, part relationship workshop, and part “ask the expert” experience.

Each series explores a carefully selected book on topics such as dating, communication, attachment, emotional intelligence, conflict, intimacy, boundaries, and building lasting relationships. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationship patterns, and the skills that contribute to healthy connections.

This is not group therapy. You won’t be expected to share personal details or discuss private relationship challenges. Instead, you’ll learn alongside other thoughtful professionals in a relaxed, engaging environment designed for curiosity, conversation, and personal growth.

This Book Club Is Ideal For:

  • Professionals who want to date more intentionally
  • Individuals preparing for a future relationship or marriage
  • People who want to improve communication and connection skills
  • Anyone curious about relationship psychology and human behavior
  • Those who enjoy learning in a community setting

What Makes It Different?

  • Therapist-led discussions and expert guidance
  • Practical relationship tools you can apply immediately
  • Opportunities to ask questions and deepen your understanding
  • A welcoming, co-ed environment
  • A focus on education and personal growth—not therapy

Relationships influence nearly every area of our lives. Investing in your relational skills may be one of the most valuable investments you make.

When It’s Never About You: The People-Pleaser’s Guide to Reclaiming Your Health, Happiness and Personal Freedom

By Ilene S. Cohen, Ph.D

When It’s Never About You is a thoughtful guide for people-pleasers who are ready to make space for their own needs, wants, and voice—without losing their sense of compassion or identity as a “good person.” Through practical tools and relatable insights, the book explores how to break the cycles that leave you feeling unheard, overlooked, or unappreciated, while still nurturing the relationships that matter most in a healthier, more self-honoring way.

In our first individual book club session, we’ll explore these patterns together and reflect on how they shape our relationships with friends, family, and partners. Through open discussion and guided conversation, we’ll work toward building deeper self-awareness, stronger boundaries, and more fulfilling, sustainable connections with ourselves and the people we love.
